Roulette - progressive systems of game
Money management tactics shows what about the next bet should be. Thus the question where to put remains open.
For example in martingale (one of progressions) it is possible to play constantly on one simple chance, it is possible to watch the table (if red has dropped out than the following bet will be on red), against the table (if red has dropped out than the following bet will be on black), etc. There are bet systems that suppose repetition of the certain combinations, for example if red-black0red-black has dropped out than it is necessary to put on alternation of colors. Despite of the choice of the roulette game the size of the following bet will depend on result of the previous bets but not from a place on which the bet has been done.
Progressions can be divided into two types: a negative and positive progression. Negative progression is an increase of the bet amount at a loss of the previous bet and reduction of the bet or transition to the initial bet at a winning. The purpose of using a negative progression is to reduce the loss received at the previous bets..
Such progression (returning to the initial bet) usually ends up in getting a non-negative balance.
On the other hand, what to do if it is not possible to follow a progression any more (to increase the bet)? To continue to play on maximum acieved bet? To start a progression with the initial bet? To finish session? On this question, everyone answers for himself. Authors of the systems usually bypass this ticklish moment.
Progressive progression is an increase in the bet amount at winning of the previous bet and reduction of the bet or transition to initial bet at loss.
The purpose of using the progressive progression is to to increase a prize received during the previous bets.
Such progression usually ends in getting a sufficient prize or losing the next bet.
Should we use progressions? Someone thinks that using a progression will definitely lead to the loss. Someone suggests to limit any progression (both positive, and negative) to 2-3 steps, then to pass to the initial bet.
The review of progressions
The progression on a simple chances.
It is one of the oldest strategy of game of roulette.
At the bet loss the following is doubled with the comparison of the previous one. The progression 1, 2, 4, 8 is used... Bets on this progression are done to getting a positive balance. We have found an interesting description of Martingale: "At the bet loss the following bet increases that much that its prize would exceed losses of the previous bets."
Essential drawback of Martingale is geometrical growth of the bet amount. Witht impossibility to increase bet amount the loss reaches huge amounts. Martingales meaningful to play in a case if the system of bets gives a prize on five-six bets.
D'Alembert (the Pyramid).
Ancient system of game of roulette. At loss of the bet the bet is amde on unit bigger, than previous. At a winning of the bet the bet decreases for one unit. Bets are done up to getting a positive balance in this progression.
The drawback of the d'Alembert is that to recoup a series of prizes is required which is frequently shorter than it is necessary for getting a positive balance. As a result the general loss collects.
During the game on this progression the following rules are used:
Rule 1. If for getting a prize in 1 chesspiece the bet smaller than that should be according to other rules is enough the bet should be reduced. This rule has the highest priority.
Rule 2. The bet after loss is the same size as lost.
Rule 3. At winning of the bet is done unit bigger, than the previous one Bets in this progression are done up to getting a of positive balance.
Some authors consider that game with the use of Oscar Grind method is not a progression.
It seems to us that this a progression, and particularly negative progression. All the same the method is directed on reduction of the loss got on the previous bets and the amount of the bet increases at increase in loss.
The progression 1-2-3-5-8-13-21... is used (Each following number in a progression is equaled to the sum of the previous two numbers.)
The prize of one bet compensates two previous losses. At loss of the bet the transition to the following bet on a progression is done. At a prize of the bet transition back on a progression through one bet (at a prize of the bet 21 the following bet will be 8, at a prize of the bet 13 - the following bet will be 5) is done. Bets in this progression are done up to getting a positive balance.
It is possible to use this progression only with good system of bets. At game with using this progression bets grow very quickly accordingly the general loss grows too.
In Charles Aleksandera's progression one of the following progressions is used:
Pay attention that increment (a difference of two next numbers in a progression) is equal 2 in the first progression, 3-the second , 4-the third.
Transition to the following bet on a progression occurs after loss of the quantity of bets equal to increment (after loss of bets for the first progression, three bets for the second, four bets for the third). Transition to the previous bet on a progression occurs after the prize of quantity of bets that are equal to increment (for the first progression after a prize of two bets for the first progression , three bets for the second, four bets for the third).
Bets in this progression are done up to getting a positive balance.
For the first progression
The progression 1-1-1-2-2-4-4-8-8 is used.
At a winning the double bet is done.(If the bet of 2 chesspiece has won than the next bet will be 4 chesspieces).
After loss of the bet the transition to the next bet is done on progression. Loss of 31 chesspieces is the end of game on this progression. Bets in this progression are done up to getting a positive balance.
It is visible from the table, that at game using this progression for getting an income it is necessary to win successively two bets from ten.
At a prize of the bet, the bet one unit bigger is done than the previous one. At loss of the bet, the bet decreases for unit. Bets in this progression are done up to getting a necessary prize.
It is visible from the table that it is possible to stop with a prize at game on this progression having lost some bets successively.
Strategy opposite Martingale. At a prize of the bet the following is done two times bigger than the previous one. Progression 1, 2, 4, 8...
Bets in this progression are done up to getting a necessary prize. After that game begins with the initial bet. An attempt to increase a prize in geometrical progression with risk to lose only one chesspiece is made.
It is enough to limit the quantity of the steps on a progression at constant increase in the bet to lose.
In Charles Guetting's progression 4 levels are used.
1 level. 2 chesspieces.
2 level. 3-4-6 chesspieces
3 level. 8-12-16 chesspieces
4 level. 20-30-40 chesspieces.
At a prize of two bets transition to the next amount of the bet on a progression is done.
After loss of the bet transition to the first bet of the previous level is done. Bets in this progression are done up to getting a necessary prize.
